Rail passengers delayed after wagon hits bridge

Preston passengers on trains on the Colne to Blackpool South line were delayed after a wagon struck a bridge in Hollin Bridge Street, Mill Hill.
The incident happened this morning and trains between Blackburn and Mill Hill stations were disrupted because of the incident.
Police confirmed that the wagon’s trailer was damaged in the incident, but the vehicle had not got stuck under the bridge.
Normal train service resumed at around 12.40pm.
